The 2017 MI Great Artist Competition, a collaboration between Park West Gallery of Southfield, MI. and Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, will accept online entries from July 17-August 10. Artists, eighteen years and older, will be able to submit 5 images of any kind of visual art at MIGreatArtist.com

The 5 finalists will be announced September 19, 2017. The awards receptions will be held at Park West Gallery on October 25.

Artists have a chance to win:

$3,000 in Cash Prizes
Custom framing of 5 artworks
Exhibition in several venues in southeast Michigan
Entrepreneurial training through Oakland County's One Stop Shop Business Center
Artwork featured on a poster to promote one of Oakland County's signature quality of life events

The MI Great Artist™ is an online art competition for visual artists, 18+ years of age. Artists will be able to submit up to 5 images and descriptions of their work for public voting. From the top twenty artists, a 5-member jury of arts professionals will select 5 finalists. The MI Great Artist™ winner will be determined by a combination of jury score and public vote.
